On the afternoon of September 2, 2024, the
15th International Leather Forum, hosted by the China Leather Industry
Association (CLIA), was successfully held in Shanghai. With the theme of
"Insights into the Market, Win-Win Future Ahead," the forum opened
with a speech by Li Yuzhong, Vice Chairman of China National Light
Industry Council (CNLIC) and Chairman of CLIA.
The forum invited four esteemed guests to
deliver specialized speeches: Cai Ying, a senior industry research expert from
the National Academy of Macroeconomic Research;
Gary Raines, Economic Statistical Consultant of
the Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA); GianPaola Pedretti,
Exhibition Manager of Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags; and Chen Zhanguang, Vice
Chairman of CLIA. Through abundant data and case studies,
the presentations focused on the new changes and trends in key global
leather markets such as China, the United States, the European Union and
Southeast Asia, sharing new perspectives and insights
with the participants.
Furthermore, the forum included a
roundtable discussion session centered on the theme of "Opportunities and
Challenges Brought by the Global Leather Industry's Layout and Structural
Adjustment." During this interactive session, the invited
guests exchanged views on the EU, US, Russian, and China's domestic
markets, covering topics such as industrial layout and structure, international
channel expansion, basic technology innovation,
and supply efficiency optimization.
